IKEA "It's Not Home 'Till It's You" presents three documentary-style films, each focusing on a distinct individual and their story. IKEA plays a key role by furnishing the spaces where these stories take place, using their products to create a stronger sense of belonging for the protagonists in their homes. These narratives highlight essential themes like ADHD, sustainable fashion, community strength, and refugee experiences. Each film acts as a potent platform to raise awareness and encourage contemplation on these crucial topics, all while honouring the resilience and journeys of these remarkable individuals.
In this phase, we initiated the initial storyboard exploration specifically aimed at crafting the introductory titles. It was a foundational step in shaping the visual narrative and setting the tone for the introduction of the storyline.
Following the initial storyboard exploration for the intro titles, we proceeded to develop the main title sequence. This involved refining the visual concepts and storyline elements discovered during the exploration phase. The result was a main title sequence that is the essence of the narrative, setting the stage for the unfolding story. The visuals were polished, the pacing refined, and the overall impact heightened to create a captivating introduction to the project.
Selection of style frames that were designed for three episodes. They give you a taste of the vibe we nailed down. We picked colours close to the brand, keeping things sleek and minimal, giving that documentary-style feel.
The above style frames served as our foundation. They guided our journey into building the motion language, allowing us to translate these visuals into dynamic, captivating motion. This was the starting point for an exciting part of the creative process!
Diving into the first of three episodes this one is about ADHD. Laura is a gamer teaming up with IKEA to jazz up her bedroom. It's where she works, games, and deals with ADHD. Let's see how they make it awesome!
